The morning was crisp and cool with just a hint of a breeze gently washing over the roughly 600 runners lined up to run the Ultimate 5K & 10K. Who are we kidding, it was hotter than #@*% but that made it even more impressive for those who finished. Over $18,000 was raised for Youth Villages and their nationally recognized programs that assist children and their families. This brings the total donated to charity to over $153,000. With temperatures about 10 degrees hotter than normal for June 27th, the UPS Ultimate 5 and 10K run took place in Davies Plantation. About 650 runners signed up for the event and there were about 620 finishers. Despite the heat, the morning was a complete success with the participants surviving the run and enjoying the post race music of Social Remedy, the food and drinks, and the feeling of accomplishment you get from strenuous exercise and supporting a worthy cause. Youth Villages will receive a donation of around $18,000 from the efforts of these runners and volunteers. This brings the total amount donated to charity from this race to about $135,000.

The Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce Corporate Challenge winner was the Go Fedex team of Dana-Lynne Belus, Brett Lee, Larry Watson, Brett Murphy, and Vince Carr in the 10K.
Winner in the 5K challenge was the Team UPS entry of Steven Howell, Javier Larrea, Alan Fyfe, Jonathan Wilson, and Mike Repischak.
Come join us next year for the 14th annual Ultimate 10k.The run will be June 26th 2010 so mark your calendar and go put in those miles.
What do you do during a summer when temperatures set new record highs? You go to the Ultimate 10k & 5K and set a new record with about 550 runners registered and help push the total donation raised by the race to almost $100,000! Thank you to all of you who participated, volunteered and contributed for helping raise funds for the programs at Youth Villages. We, at the race, are committed to do our part and make this a better race next year with some new wrinkles and changes to make your running experience better at the Ultimate.

Two Thousand and Six brought the 10th Annual Clear Mountain Natural Spring Water Ultimate 5K & 10K back to the Davies Plantation neighborhood on June 24th. Several hundred runners and volunteers gathered under overcast skies with temperatures starting in the mid 70’s to run thru the neighborhood and support the work of our designated charity, Youth Villages.

2005
The morning was warm and humid with temperatures approaching the 90’s, but almost 500 runners turned out for the 9th annual Clear Mountain Natural Spring Water Ultimate 10k and 5k The 5k was added this year in place of the relay. Neighbors on the course had sprinklers going to cool the runners and the morning turned out to be a huge success.
Thanks to all of the runners and volunteers that helped us raise over $16,000 for donation to Youth Villages.

Next year is the 10th annual Ultimate 10K and it promises to be bigger and better. There will be added features to the run with our goal to make this a fun running experience for the participants and a successful fundraiser for our charity, Youth Villages. Come join with us again next year.
2004
The 2004 edition of The Clear Mountain Natural Spring Water Ultimate 10k and Relay continued the tradition of being a premier running event on the Memphis race calendar. Several hundred runners and volunteers showed up for as nice a day as could be expected at the end of June with temperatures at race time about 70 degrees. The event was able to raise over $10,500 to assist the children and families served by Youth Villages. Thank you to all of you who participated and volunteered.
